Idyllwild Assembly of God now meets at the Idyllwild Town Hall each Sunday at 10 AM, except for occasional Sundays when we will meet out in the community somewhere. It is our desire to serve the people of Idyllwild and feel a good way to do that is doing things, including some Sunday morning services, out at different places in Idyllwild. So check the website or Facebook page to be sure where we will be each Sunday. You are invited to join us, and we hope to see you there and get to know you and your family.
Lamentations 3:22-23a Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning. That is one of the most encouraging and empowering truths in the bible. That fact that Almighty God loves us so that we get a fresh start with Him every day. Jesus Christ doesn’t allow yesterdays short comings define us today and neither should we, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in the knowledge according to the image of Him who created him( Col.3:9-10) We might not always feel renewed, but don’t go on how you feel go by what the word of God says about you!
Pastor Randy and Nancy Jones lead the 9 AM Sunday, January 3, 2016 Valle Vista congregation in prayer for Pastor Mark Garrett and Idyllwild AG.
Weekly Sunday Services Are Now Available.
We meet at 10 AM on Sundays in the Idyllwild Pines Chapel on Highway 243. During the last half of 2015 we offered monthly “preview” services, but services are now offered weekly. Please be in prayer that God will build His Church at Idyllwild AG, bringing all the hearts, skills, and talents to bear as we do our best to be a blessing in the community and on the mountain.
You are warmly invited. We hope to see you on Sunday at 10 AM.
Hello Friend,Tina and I are excited about what the Lord is doing in Idyllwild and the surrounding areas. We know first hand the transforming power of the gospel. You are welcome to join us every Sunday at 10 AM for services at Idyllwild Town Hall. New Life Groups, which will meet in homes for Bible study, are forming and will begin soon. We look forward to meeting you in person and to serving you and your family.
Mark Garrett, Campus Pastor Idyllwild Assembly of God
It is our prayer that you and your loved ones have a blessed Christmas Season, and a joyous New Year. Please join us on Sunday, January 10th, at 10 am at the Idyllwild Pines Chapel for the LAUNCH of our weekly Sunday morning services. We look forward to seeing you there.
In case you missed it, here is a LINK to our Christmas Prayer video on our Facebook page.
“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” (Psalm 118:1)
As we head into the holiday season Tina and I have a lot to celebrate. We hope that is the case for you also. Although we have not always felt like celebrating, God has been faithful to work it all out for good. (See Romans 8:28). Through the good and the bad, the happy and the sad.
“I give thanks, because you have answered me, and have become my salvation.”
We hope you are enjoying life to the fullest. If you are experiencing difficulty this year, we encourage you to look to Jesus. Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full into His wonderful face; and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
The attacks in Paris this past week troubled the majority of humanity the world over. Our hearts and prayers go out to those who were injured and to those who so tragically lost loved ones.
Nohemi Gonzalez, a 23 year old design student, died in the attacks, and we understand that her family attended an Assembly of God church in Whittier, CA. Please pray for all those personally touched by this attack.
Jesus said in John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
This scripture was spoken by Jesus to his disciples after he told them that they would scatter and he would be crucified. Notice the past tense in that last victorious statement. Jesus spoke about himself overcoming as already done. Our victory in Jesus is “a sure thing,” “as good as done,” if we trust in him, follow him, and live our lives based on his word. When there is violence, danger, and sorrow in this world, go to Jesus and His Word.
Real peace can only be found in the One who has already overcome the world.
